1) ISCRIZIONE E PARTECIPAZIONE
a) La selezione ufficiale, ad opera del Comitato Scientifico, prevede le seguenti categorie:
- Categoria 1: prodotti audiovisivi della durata minima di 5 minuti, che utilizzino l’immagine come strumento e veicolo di ricerca e conoscenza scientifica nel campo delle discipline umane e sociali, all’interno di una cornice narrativa visibile.
- Categoria 2: brevi video della durata massima di 60 secondi (es. TikTok, Reel, etc…). Il prodotto audiovisivo deve offrire un punto di vista o porre domande su questioni educative, sociali, di attualità, all’interno di una cornice narrativa visibile.
b) L’iscrizione al Contest va effettuata entro e non oltre il 15 Settembre 2024 compilando l’apposito modulo e caricando il prodotto audiovisivo su una piattaforma di video sharing (es: Vimeo, YouTube) con link privato o password. All’atto dell’iscrizione il Link e/o password devono essere inviati all’indirizzo visualfest@uniroma3.it
c) Gli autori e le autrici che intendono partecipare devono compilare e firmare l’apposita liberatoria in modo da autorizzare il Comitato Scientifico e la Giuria alla visione delle opere. La suddetta liberatoria autorizza inoltre: a) nel caso di ammissione al contest alla proiezione pubblica nei giorni del VisualFest e, in caso di vittoria del premio Visual Fest, alla proiezione pubblica in circuiti gemellati con il VisualFest; b) al trattamento e alla protezione dei dati secondo quanto previsto dalla normativa vigente in materia di privacy.

d) L’iscrizione al VisualFest si ritiene conclusa dopo l’adempimento di tutti i passaggi precedentemente illustrati (compilazione modulo online, compilazione ed invio della liberatoria, invio del link all’opera).
e) L’invio dei prodotti selezionati per la proiezione sarà esclusivamente in formato digitale, attraverso la condivisione del file su WeTransfer. Il link per accedervi verrà richiesto successivamente agli autori che supereranno la prima selezione operata dal Comitato Scientifico
2) ASSEGNAZIONE DEI PREMI
Le opere inviate entro la data di scadenza indicata al punto 1 del presente bando e che rispettano le procedure ivi illustrate sono vagliate e selezionate dal Comitato Scientifico che le ammette ufficialmente al concorso. Tali opere sono quindi sottoposte alla valutazione della Giuria del VisualFest (i membri sono elencati nella pagina (http://visualfest.uniroma3.it/giurie/ ):
La Giuria assegna il premio della nona edizione del Visual Fest seguendo i criteri indicati dal Comitato Scientifico (tali criteri sono chiaramente illustrati nel Regolamento del VisualFest (http://visualfest.uniroma3.it/regolamento/ ).
Le opere ammesse sono altresì proiettate nelle giornate del VisualFest.
Al termine della proiezione di ciascuna opera il pubblico in sala procede con una votazione.
Alle opere risultate vincitrici (una per ciascuna categoria) viene assegnato il premio del pubblico. Tutte le opere vincitrici saranno premiate nell’ultima giornata del Contest.

1) SUBSCRIBING AND PARTICIPATION
(a ) The official selection, by the Scientific Committee, includes the following categories:
- Category 1: audiovisual products of a minimum duration of 5 minutes, using the image as a tool and vehicle for research and scientific knowledge in the field of humanities and social disciplines, within a visible narrative framework.
- Category 2: Short videos with a maximum duration of 60 seconds (e.g., TikTok, Reel, etc…). The audiovisual product must offer a point of view or ask questions about educational, social, and current issues, within a visible narrative frame.
b) Contest entries must be made no later than September 15, 2024 by filling out the appropriate form and uploading the audiovisual product to a video-sharing platform (e.g., Vimeo, YouTube) with a private link or password. Upon registration, the Link and/or password must be sent to visualfest@uniroma3.it
c) Authors who intend to participate must complete and sign the appropriate release form to authorize the Scientific Committee and the Jury to view the works. The aforementioned waiver also authorizes: a) in case of admission to the contest to the public screening in the days of VisualFest and, in case of winning the Visual Fest award, to the public screening in circuits twinned with VisualFest; b) to the processing and protection of data according to the provisions of current privacy regulations.

d ) Registration for VisualFest is considered complete after all the steps outlined above have been fulfilled (filling out the online form, filling out and sending the release form, sending the link to the work).
e) Submission of the products selected for screening will be exclusively in digital format, through file sharing on WeTransfer. The link to access it will be requested later to the authors who pass the first selection made by the Scientific Committee
2) AWARDING OF PRIZES
Works submitted by the deadline indicated in section 1 of this announcement that comply with the procedures outlined therein are screened and selected by the Scientific Committee, which officially admits them to the competition. These works are then submitted for evaluation by the VisualFest Jury (members are listed on the page (http://visualfest.uniroma3.it/giurie/ ):
The Jury awards the prize of the ninth edition of the Visual Fest following the criteria indicated by the Scientific Committee (these criteria are clearly explained in the VisualFest Regulations(http://visualfest.uniroma3.it/regolamento/ ).
Eligible works are also screened during the VisualFest days.
At the end of the screening of each work, the audience in the auditorium proceeds with a vote.
The winning works (one in each category) are awarded the audience prize. All winning works will be awarded prizes on the last day of the Contest.
